Can Dirt Save the Earth?

Is it possible? Could considerations related to soil's intimate contribution to environmental health finally be going mainstream? The core ideas in this article have been around for at least a decade.... Sad that it has taken the The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) so long to probe the opportunities buried in soil (pun intended). Soils are not nearly as sexy as electric vehicles but I would submit, far more powerful and far less energy-intensive. When will we start including these considerations in our much-lauded sustainability plans?
